I had the opportunity to create this website for the Department of Art & Design to replace the print version of its student handbook, which would allow for easy and quick updates and changes without the time and cost required to print new books or addenda. In addition, the site could be viewed from any location that has an internet-accessible computer. The site also has for download or print any document a student might need during his/her time in the department, as well as maps showing where classrooms are located for each emphasis (the building in which the department is housed is difficult to navigate for newcomers).

The site itself references this concept of navigation through the department both literally in its visual presentation (the photographs for each section of the website make up part of the building's floor plan) and figuratively as the guide provides students with information to plan and complete their education.

美術デザイン学部のために以前の学部案内の発行版に取って代わったこのウエブサイトを作ることになった。学部案内を情報化すると、新しい書物と追加物を印刷するにかかる時間と費用なしに更新・変更が易くて速い。さらに、このサイトはインターネットに接続しているコンピューターさえあれば、どこからでもアクセスできる。また、学生に学部に入っている間必要な書類をこのサイトからダウンロード及び印刷することだけではなく、それぞれの科目の教室の位置を示す地図も（学部が占有する建物は新入生に分かりづらい）見ることも可能である。

ウエブサイト自体は学部を通過するという概念を、各科目のページの背景は建物の間取り図の一部を構成するなどによって物理的にも、学生が計画的に卒業するために情報が掲載されていることによって象徴的にも表現する。
