20th anniversary logo for the JET Programme

This logotype was created as a submission for the logo contest to commemorate the JET Programme's 20th anniversary. It addresses multiculturalism in Japan through the multicolored circles that surround "JET." Furthermore, the colors imply a sense of motion toward the red dot that stands out on the right (regarding persons both within and without the JET Programme coming to the country), which acts as a representation of Japan (Hi no Maru) and as a visual connection between "JET" and "Programme." In addition, the dots equal twenty in number, referring to the programme's 20th anniversary, reinforced by the "20 years!" at the right of "Programme," and which can be removed after the 20th year, allowing for continuity with little visual change. Finally, the colors overall evoke a fun and celebratory mood while the font and structure maintain a level of gravitas necessary for an international organization.

JETプログラムという組織の２０周年を記念するロゴ

JETプログラムの20周年を記念するロゴコンペに提出したものである。JETを囲む多色の丸で、日本における多種文化をたとえ、色はさらに右の目立つ赤い点への移動を感じさせる（JETプログラムの参加者に限らず日本に移住する人の動きを言う）。この赤い点は日の丸として日本を象徴し、JETとProgrammeを視覚的に接続している。また、20個のある丸はJETプログラムの20周年記念を関連させ、右側にある20 years!もこのことを支えている。２０年目が過ぎると、視覚的な継続性を崩さずに20 years!を除去できる。最後に、全体的に色は楽しい盛り上がりの気持ちを出している側面にフォントと構成は国際的な組織に相応しい真面目さを持つ。
