Fargo Public Library Banner 2003

In 2003 the Fargo Public Library was housed in an inconspicuous building located on the corner of two busy streets. As such, it needed street banners to better signify its presence to drivers both at the downtown library and Southpointe branch. The white type on a blue background is highly legible from a moving vehicle, and this banner incorporates elements of the existent logo to further reinforce recognition, as well as to hint at the sun rising above the prairie, or the Red River that is nearby.

2003年にファーゴ市立図書館が二つの大通りに面している角に目立たない建物にあった。そこで、図書館のそこにあることを通りかかる者に明らかにするために本館、そしてサウスポイント支館、に道から見える旗が必要だった。紺色の背景に白い文字は走っている車からでも読みやすくて、既存のロゴを生かし、ロゴと図書館の認知をさらに強化する効果もある。また、太陽が草原や近くのレッド川の上に昇るように見える。
